ALLKND Mental Health Literacy Charity -

We are:

  • A not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.

  • A charitable entity with Deductible Gift Recipient Status.

  • Supported by a Univesity Social Science Research department

We’re led by a Board of Directors, chaired by Milly Bannister. Board operations are informed and supported by our governing document and its policies.

Milly (B.A in Journalism, Media & Comms + DipPosPsych) also leads, as Chief Executive Officer, the staff and volunteers, who are responsible for delivering our Strategic Plan and managing all aspects of our daily operations.

In 2018, our founder Milly Bannister hit 100,000 social media followers across her public platforms, most of which were youth. After receiving frequent requests for mental-health-related advice, connection and conversation, Milly decided to drag industry-leading experts into her corner of the internet to develop the first version of an ALLKND program, 'GRLKND'. Since then she's delivered countless workshops and keynotes to high-schools across the globe and fostered a team and community who care. A lot.

ALLKND is now in partnership with a major research institute with grand plans to get mental health first aid and mental health literacy into the hands of youth across Australia.

In case you missed it, suicide accounts for approximately one-third of all deaths in youth - that’s more than transport accidents and accidental poisonings. Suicide rates are at their highest in the past 10 years and show no signs of slowing down. Research also shows that for adolescents, for every one suicide there are approximately 100 to 200 suicide attempts.

We're on a mission to impact 1 million and 1 young humans and reduce youth mental illness-related fatalities, one brave human, at a time.
